Looking for a web page for your travel photos? Here is my experience with Photler.
As a long time photographer who has traveled to all seven continents since 2008, I have used and sold images from a Smugmug web page for over a decade. I also regularly use 500Px and for a time, used Flickr. Smugmug is by far the most robust and flexible with a very sophisticated drop and drag customization protocol and leading class support--both chat and FAQs. But their mapping utility is tricky and can't be used to navigate to a given gallery. Neither the 500PX portfolios nor Flickr have the capability.
So along comes Photler with what appears to be a nice approach to mapping with the ability for a user to click on a pin for the area of the world they wish to visit. Cool.
I won't go into great detail yet--I have written to Photler support with some lengthy suggestions so we'll see how they respond. But right now the pages are a bit buggy, I can't get the IPad scrolling to work, and the time for uploads is glacial. But I have hope. Stay tuned.
